Photograph caption dated November 11, 1955 reads, "Tiny Janet Meskin, 5, pins Auxiliary Jewish War Veterans poppy on Burbank Mayor Earle Blais as Harry Moryuseph, senior AJWV commander, and Mrs. June Meskin, poppy chairman, look on during ceremonies marking opening of poppy sale today. Funds will be used to carry on hospitalization and welfare work for disabled veterans. Sale will be conducted in Burbank and Glendale until tomorrow."
