Photograph caption dated March 16, 1959 reads, "John Waddell, music instructor at Northridge Junior High School rehearses Valley singers, from left: Merlana Wade, North Hollywood; Steve Vanier, Van Nuys; Anita Dowell, Northridge, and Jimmy Breneman, Van Nuys, for their parts in 200-voice Living Cross Chorus to be featured at 39th annual Hollywood Bowl Easter Sunrise service. Waddell will direct chorus at observance, which is expected to attract 20,000 worshipers."
