In 1973, Frank Robinson founded Robinson Helicopter Company, which employs about 1,200 employees. In addition to manufacturing helicopters, Robinson includes a research and development division, has an overhaul program to service older helicopters and offers educational courses for flight instructors and maintenance technicians.
Two R44 helicopters, one of which is moved being moved by an employee in a forklift (right), are shown crated for export at the Robinson Helicopter Company plant.
