Photograph caption dated February 6, 1957 reads, "John Dondanville, left, editor of Valley Star, Valley College's student newspaper, holds 1949 issue of Star, comparing it with new seven-column publication of this semester, held by Bobbe Rumbaugh, managing editor. Eight-year-old newspaper grew from five column format to present size, making publication one of two largest in California junior college journalism. Advertisement revenue is figured out in newspaper budget, near $5,000 a semester, which comes out of student activity fund."; See images #00133014 through #00133018 for all photos in this series.
