“The 3 boys in 1927 on leave in Aberdeen [L to R] Tony, Geoff & Ken.” Group portrait of the three Irvine boys sitting on tricycles of diminishing size. They were the only children of Margaret and Archibald Irvine who were based at the Chogoria mission for forty years. ❧ Image from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the early years of the Chogoria mission, established near Mt Kenya in 1922 and run by Dr Irvine, ministering to the Chuka and Mwimbi peoples.
