Description
Repetto’s Adobe House, exterior. Only known picture of this adobe. Found in the files of the Alhambra Post-Advocate. First adobe home built in 1840 by Jose Lugo. The home located on South Garfield Avenue about mile north of the Pomona Freeway was purchased by an Italian immigrant, Alessandro Repetto in 1866. Repetto added a barn and other Buildings--California--Monterey Park to the house which later collapsed in 1927 after treasure seekers vandalized it.
