Description
The downtown district of Visalia, CA, was severely flooded when the Kaweah River, coming out of Sequoia National Park, overflowed its bank December 22, 1955. One of the river's overflow channel was Mill Creek, which flowed under the downtown area via acqueduct. This photo looks west from the intersection of Mineral King Avenue and Burke Street.
