A booklet, published by the Glendale branch of the Security Trust & Savings Bank and written by the publicity department, as a souvenir to mark the opening of the six-story Glendale Security Building. Covers the history of the Rancho San Rafael, and discusses prominent families and land owners. Includes photographs of homes, landscapes, street scenes and group and individual portraits, as well as aerial views of the area and panoramas. ""For the most part"" photographs of ""modern Glendale"" are by William A. Haines. Includes letterpress printed mailing envelope.
