Description
Beaumont's second bank , the Bank of Beaumont was built in 1923 by Fred Hirsch, a large real estate holder in Beaumont. It resided on the northeast corner of Fifth and Egan Streets and replaced the earlier bank, which had been built on the southeast corner of Calilfornia Ave. and Fifth Street in 1909. The original bank eventually became too small to serve the growing population of Beaumont. The 1923 Bank of Beaumont building can be seen today to the north when passing along Highway 10 through Beaumont. It is currently the home of Precision Stampings, Inc. a machine shop company.
