Description
Constructed in 1911 in Edgar Canyon by the Beaumont Land and Water Company, this Edgar Canyon Reservoir could contain a large volume of water which was brought down from wells on higher ground. Beaumont and its neighboring towns, like Banning, relied on reservoirs to store water. The Beaumont Land and Water Company assured prospective real estate buyers that water was available for farming and could verify this fact when they brought them here to see it firsthand.
