Description
Newspaper article titled "Ex-Japanese Staters Write to Peterson." Two letters in "The Aztec" (SDSU student newspaper) from Japanese American former students to the dean, C.E. Peterson. The two students are Hideo Higashi and Harry Kiode, both at the Santa Anita Temporary Assembly Center. Higashi speaks at length about a position he has acquired at the center to create a recreation program; he asks for assistance with gathering materials to develop the program. Kiode speaks generally about the camp and the large number of people at the center and other SDSU students.
