Description
This 1923 Armistice Day Parade in Porterville was in celebration also of the new high school being built on Porterville's West Olive Avenue. It was a gala affair and the town was in its finery with decorations galore. In these days it was not uncommon for the parade to go from north to south and then turn around and go north again.
