Description
After the introduction of fruit orchards in Beaumont, fruit growing became quite lucrative. Over time, as the population of the town grew, so did the acreage of fruit trees in the area. Some of the fruit grown was sold locally, but much of it was exported. Thus the Beaumont Fruit and Cold Storage company, seen here, was an important entity in the growing town.
