Ben Parolini of Tulare County, CA, holds his rifle circa 1926 while inspecting a sign painted on rock in Sequoia National Park. Regulations later prohibited such advertising and defacing of natural scenes. Parolini was the father of the photo's donor. (Photo courtesy of Louise Tesoriere)
