Description
Building railroad bridge over Santa Ana River. The Santa Ana & Newport Railroad connected Santa Ana with the McFadden Bros. wharf at Newport Beach. Built by the McFaddens, the short rail line was eventually bought out by the Southern Pacific. This bridge crossed the Santa Ana River just as it entered Newport Bay.
