Description
The Castaneda family Thanksgiving took place in their backyard at 660 Tamarac Street in Oxnard in 1959. The family drove to Santa Paula to buy a pig for slaughter and prepared lechon (roasted pig) for the holiday. Once they returned home, the kids took shifts to cook the meal over several hours.
