Exterior photograph looking into open portion of the tunnel used in the Colorado River Aqueduct, which was constructed through San Jacinto Mountain at Cabazon, California. Members of the Bailiff and Dodd families are shown posing in the mouth of one section of the tunnel. The construction of this 13-mile section of the Colorado Aqueduct took approximately five years to complete and created thousands of jobs for post-Depression workers in Banning.
