Mr. Candy, left side of picture, and possibly Walter Kunath, his druggist, pose for this photo taken in 1906 in the Candy Drug Store in Porterville, CA. Liquor was the prime product and had to have a prescription at that time. The store was in the southeast corner of the Pioneer Hotel. (Photo courtesy of Porterville Library)
