Reads, Dedicated to the men of Azusa who served their country in the army and navy 1917-1918 in memoriam, Claude Whittmore Briggs, died of wounds, Leslie LeRoy Robinson, killed in action and Gordon Bigelow, killed in action.
One of two bronze tablets designed and produced by E.A. Maloof and Company. (Cornejo, 2007, p. 73) Replica of original pylon, the island at the intersection of Foothill and Azusa Avenues. The tablet was placed on a replica monument erected at the Civic Center park.
