Description
"This is the start of the Kaweah Colony Road from Three Rivers, CA, to Giant Forest in Sequoia National Park. Note that, when cars met, the car coming downhill was supposed to back up to a wide space, having more traction. This road, which followed the North Fork of the Kaweah River, was replaced by Highway 198, ""The General's Highway,"" named for Union General William Tecumseh Sherman.
