157 entries on the city of Thousand Oaks nation wide architectural competition had to be judged before finally awarding first place to the design submitted by architect Robert Houvener. Jury: J.L. Pujdak, A.I.A., Pasadena, the city's professional advisor for the competition Jan Rowan, ex-editor of Progressive Architecture Cesar Pelli, partner in Gruen Associates Charles W. Moore, A.I.A., Dean of Architecture, Yale University, George Davis, Art Director MGM studios, and Dr. Raymond Olson, president, CLC. ;""Donation Ventura County Star.""
