Description
"Triunfo! -- In a bucolic setting such as this, the early pioneers of the Conejo, lost for days in the surrounding territory, climbed a high hill and caught their bearings with a joyous shout of triumph - 'Triunfo!' No cowboys and Indians will be present at Saturday night's Triunfo Ball, named after this earliest incident recorded in this area, sponsored by the Conejo Valley Historical Society. However, St. Raymond's Dominican Retreat, scene of the annual festivities, sits among hundreds of oak trees on hills just such as these."
