The store is the Pioneer store of Porter Putnam in 1905. when they took over form the McFarland family who built it in 1888. Fred Price and some Bumbled Price. (Porterville Lib. # Neg 20) When this photo was taken in 1905, this had become the Price Hardware Store in Porterville, CA, located in the pioneer store of city founder Porter Putnam. The Prices took over the hardware store from the McFarland family, who opened the store in 1888. Pictured here are owner Fred Price and his son Bumbled Price, who operated the store into the 1905s.
