This is the airplane in Strathmore, CA, that in 1938 had its motor and other parts stolen by Lowell Lee, 35, and Walter A. Lewis, 20. Lee was captured in Burbank, CA, and the parts were returned. The airplane was owned by Vernon Baird. (Photo courtesy of Nancy Baird)
