Description
The reverse side of the original print reads, "Harvesting grain in Conejo" "Historical Society from Laura Damsen, granddaughter of Henry & Laura Crowley (Visalia, Ca)". It also bears the stamp: "Garden City Photo Co. Los Angeles, California...." Photograph with some edge damage showing workers on a horse-drawn grain harvester on the Crowley Ranch. The Crowely Ranch was in the central Thousand Oaks area, on land previously owned by E.S. Newbury. Crowley came to the Conejo in 1887, and the family farmed here until 1922.
