This was a graduating class of either Exeter or Visalia high school in Tulare County, CA, in the 1890s. At far left in the back row is John Thomas Hinds, son of Wiley Hinds, a former slave who came in 1858 from Arkansas with Archibald Hinds. Wiley Hinds became the wealthy owner of more than 1000 acres.
