Description
The first Ynez students are pictured with their teacher. The Ynez school is the oldest school in Monterey Park. In 1913 the school opened with 51 children and 2 teachers in 2 small wooden buildings on South McPherrin Avenue near Garvey Avenue. It was called Garvey Avenue School.
