Description
A booklet, created and published by Stamats & McClure, and featuring the photography of Edward Weston. The booklet provides details about provides details about Glendale's history and describes present-day Glendale as an idylic place to move. The promotional publication also features a section on Tropico, a smaller city that neighbored Glendale to the south. Glendale, which incorporated in 1906, would eventually annex Tropico in 1918. The articles featured in ""The Jewel City"" discuss various city departments and services, fraternal and other social organizations, and schools and churches, and were written by members or leaders of those departments or organizations.
