Description
Grave of Mr. M.F. Shore's little girl, Garden Grove." A group of people (presumably family and friends) gather at the grave of Maud Ivetta Shore, born January 23, 1883 and died October 20, 1889. Disease may have struck the Shore family, as her brother, Roy M. Shore, died just eight days later at less than two years of age. The tombstone is still in place, and reads: "Sacred to the Memory of the children of V.W. and M.F. Shore." The cemetery was originally known as the Alamitos Cemetery, then (after 1900), the Westminster Cemetery. Today it is known as Magnolia Memorial Park, 12241 Magnolia Street in Garden Grove.
