This is the east side of Main Street, Porterville, CA, between Putnam and Cleveland streets. It originally was called the Taylor Block. The St. James Hotel here is next door to where Gang Sue's Chinese restaurant was opened in the 19390s. (Photo courtesy of Porterville Library)
