Plaque reads: "The Agora. This forum for open discussion of ideas honrs the Memory of Alexander C. Meiklejohn. A champion of individual liberaty 1873-1965. 'The freedom of ideas shall not be abridged.' From his address during the dedication week at Claifornia State College at Hayward, April 28, 1964."
