Description
This view depicts a homeseekers excursion accompanied by an old-fashioned country dinner, cooked by Beaumont ladies and consisting of exclusively of Beaumont products. The scene is in Edgar Canyon, 2.5 miles north of Beaumont and the table is set beneath the overhanging boughs of a great sycamore tree and within a short distance are the great pumping plants of the Beaumont Water system, which are demonstrated to all visiting homeseekers. The dinner is served gratis by the Beaumont Land and Water System, and the parties are taken on these trips every Sunday and Thursday, at just half fare.
