Description
Young people practiced Filipino cultural dances at various members' homes in preparation for Filipino Community of Ventura County Inc. (FCVCI) events. This Filipino cultural practice took place at the residence of Pat and Julia Carrillo at 4510 South B Street in Oxnard in 1970. This photograph shows ladies wearing traditional malongs (dresses) performing a Filipino Muslim dance with the Muslim princess at the foreground.
