"This six-passenger wagon was the mode of transportation from Visalia, CA, to Lake Sequoia in the Sierras ca 1900. The lady in the wide-brimmed hat is ""Mrs. Alles (ies?). The man holding the whip is Monroe Briggs, next to Bob Pool, deputy sheriff. On the side of the wagon is ""U. S. Mail"" and ""Lake Sequoia."" Note the guard holding a rifle on the tailgate.
