Description
Exterior cabint card photograph of Stephen Janus' cabin which was located in either Johnny Moore Canyon or Bigley Canyon, the northern parts of the Banning Water Canyon. Stephen Janus worked for the Indian Bureau and came to Banning, California in 1888, to vacate some of the land in the Banning Water Canyon reserved for the Native Americans from the Potrero, later the Morongo Reservation.
