Full title:Pvt. Yoshinao Omiya, Hawaiian-born Nisei who served with the famed 100th Infantry Battalion and lost his eyesight during the crossing of the Volturno River in Italy on October 13, 1943, recently spent a weekend in New York City renewing acquaintances and making new friends. He is shown surrounded by a bevy of former Los Angeleans from the Granada Relocation Center at a get-together in the quarters of the Japanese American Committee for Democracy in New York City.
