Full title:Checking construction plans in the New York Office of an architectural firm is Sunao John Iwatsu with a fellow worker. Sunao, a former San Franciscoan and bank architect, was evacuated from the West Coast along with all other persons of Japanese ancestry. He was born in Santa Barbara, graduated from the Polytechnic High School in San Francisco, and took his bachelor of arts and architecture from the University of California in 1937. He remained in the Central Utah Relocation Center until May, 19[43] and spent the summer working for an architectural firm in Salt Lake City, and secured his present work in New York City in October. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otozo Iwatsu, and 15-year-old brother David still live at Central Utah. Another brother 1st. Lieutenant Peter O. Iwatsu, is with the United States Engineers at Camp Shelby, Mississippi. New York, New York.
