Full title:Jack Hirose was a sign painter in Los Angeles before evacuation, now he is a commercial artist in the art department of the Washington Post in Washington, D.C. Jack spent several months at the Manzanar Relocation Center, where he worked in the center sign shop. He and his wife Kinu relocated to Washington in October of 1943. Mrs. Hirose works as a dentist's assistance in Washington, D.C. The rest of Jack's family have left the center and are living in Maryland a short distance from Washington.
