Four-line inscription reads "The lone wild goose comes flying over sea-- / puddles and ponds?--he deigns not to glance at them. / Looking askance, he sees pairs of kingfishers / nesting upon three bejewelled trees. / So high and proud at the tips of this precious wood, / can they possibly avoid the fear of golden pellets? / Those who wear fine clothes will suffer from finger pointing; / those who climb high and shine tempt envy of the gods. / 'But I now travel through mysterious vastness; / hunters--how can they yearn for me?'"
