Narrator of document was an art student at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute, San Francisco, during the time of the earthquake.
Narrative by Myrtle Robertson, "given substantially in her own words," giving a firsthand account of the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire. The narrative is preceded by a brief introduction by an unknown transcriber.
