Description
From the All Time is Simultaneous Exhibition at MARS (Movimiento Artístico del Río Salado) Art Space(1989), Phoenix, AZ. A rectangular plank of wood with a world globe inserted in its center is suspended from the ceiling. The piece is tilted and hangs diagonally. The text underneath the plank contains a quote from Henry David Thoreau: "If I have unjustly wrested a plank from a drowning man, I must restore it to him though I drown myself." Refers to the U.S. occupation of Mexican territory. Detail is of the quote. Cat.1 031(2) The artist of any work retains all rights to that work.
