Description
From the Desperdicio Contestatario a las Recompensas por Defender una Tierra Plana Exhibition curated by Patricio Chavez at Centro Cultural de la Raza (February 2-March 11, 1990). A wing of the gallery has been transformed. Shapes resembling signs line the walls, except an image has been substituted where information would traditionally be. A giant human figure occupies the back wall with an upside down pyramid behind it. A group of connected geometric shapes, formed by arranging white shoes in a pattern, extend from the feet of the giant figure out into the gallery space.
