Description
Annotations/Markings: Signed "栗山" (Ritsuzan) with two seals at left edge below center. One additional seal at upper right corner. Two-line poetic inscription reads "Hsüeh Fang and Feng Meng cultivated the etiquette of "foreign subjects;" / Yü Chung and Yi Yi fulfilled the vocation of retired scholars" (trans. Stephen Addiss).
Medium: ink on paper
Acquisition: Addiss-Seo Nanga Collection; on long-term loan to the Ruth and Sherman Lee Institute for Japanese Art.
Funding: Digitization funded by an Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) Leadership Grant (LG 30-02-0260-02) awarded to the University of California, Merced Library.
