Description of San Francisco earthquake and fire in 1906 including initial shaking, the fires that ensued, lack of water from broken pipes, and the dispersal of people, both poor and rich, throughout the area, many to relief centers in the Bay area.
Along with accounts of individual family members whereabouts after the earthquake, includes description of buildings and businesses effected by the earthquake, and the rebuilding of the city.
