Description
Annotations/Markings: Signed with three seals following two-line inscription at lower right corner. Inscription reads "Smiling to see the moon rise over the mountains, / I lie down drunk among the fragrant grasses; / Streams flow to the north and to the south-- / One branch of plum bears two blossoms" (trans. Stephen Addiss). One additional seal at upper right of inscription at right edge below center.
Medium: ink on paper
Acquisition: Addiss-Seo Nanga Collection; on long-term loan to the Ruth and Sherman Lee Institute for Japanese Art.
