Description
From the Ceremony of Memory Exhibition organized by Patricio Chavez at Centro Cultural de la Raza (November 17, 1989-January 21, 1990). A simply designed wooden house with a chimney becomes a face: two square windows become eyes and the doorway is a screaming mouth. Smoke bellows from the chimney and flames lick the picket fence on the side and crawl up the table that the house sits on. It successfully depicts catastrophe.
