Description
Politec acrylic mural on the wall of Armijo High School's administration building, Fairfield, CA. Panel features the poem "Chicano" on the Mexican flag. Text reads, "A Chicano is a person with a lot of pride/ One who cares and does not hide/ One who understands the meaning of love and hate/ Never puts himself down or another mate/ A Chicano has pride in his land/ God gave it to him from hand to hand/ A Chicano must stand up to all his part/ with his memories within his heart/ for now his land has been taken away/ But God will give it back and more someday/ for you see AZTLAN is here to stay."
