Description
Annotations/Markings: Signed "太乙老人併_" (Taiitsu rōjin) with two seals at left edge above center. One additional seal at upper right corner. Three-line inscription in top half of painting reads "Wearing simple cloth, they call out gently, / Carrying bundles of firewood on their heads instead of their shoulders. / In this place of silver palaces jasper terraces and gold dust, / Their graceful rustic dress is also elegant" (trans. Stephen Addiss).
