Description: Announcement Poster for "The Longest Walk." Brown and beige (from paper) image of a woman. She is alone on a desert landscape. Brown text below the image reads, "The Longest Walk [/] July 15, 1978." The Longest Walk was from February to July 1978. Several hundred Native Americans marched from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. to symbolize the forced removal of American Indians from their ancestral lands and to draw attention to the continuing issues facing the Indian community.
