Reminiscences concerning his father, Antonio Ignacio Avila, constable in Los Angeles, and his part in the capture of two of the pirate Bouchard's men and in pursuit of fugitive Indians;account of the governorships of Echeandia, Victoria, Figueroa, Gutierrez, Chico, Alvarado and Micheltorena; the revolts and campaigns of each regime; and the American occupation of California. Includes English translation (2 copies.)
